Police have detained one Henry Chukwumakpa as one of the suspects in the purported attack on the Orji Divisional Police Headquarters in Imo state.

Bala Elkana, a spokesperson for the State Police Command, said the suspect was apprehended on Wednesday by operatives from the Quick Intervention Unit working with men from the Ikeduru Divisional Police Headquarters.

The 32- year- old suspect admitted to the crime, according to Elkana.

He also revealed that he was apprehended at his hiding place in the state’ s Ikeduru Local Government Area ” after an intelligence- driven operation. “

” In a joint operation with the Ikeduru Police Division on June 2, 2021, around 9 a. m. , the command’ s Quick Response Team detained one Chukwumakpa Henry, 32. The suspect is from Iho in the Ikeduru Local Government Area, but now lives in the Orji neighborhood of Owerri.

” The suspect is accused of taking part in the May 25, 2021 attack on the Orji Police Station, as well as other horrible crimes. He admitted to committing the crime as well as other violent offenses in the recent past. He claimed to be a member of a criminal gang posing as unidentified shooters.
